Josephine (Maresca) Pelland, 92 of Manchester, wife of the late Francis G. "Frank" "Brooklyn" Pelland, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hartford Hospital.
Josephine was born in Norwalk, CT on June 27, 1924, daughter of David and Amelia (Sorrentino) Maresca. She was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., moved to Vernon, CT in 1968, and recently become a resident of Manchester, CT.
She is survived by her daughter, Franne Lassow of Manchester, three grandchildren, Christina Durdek, Steven Durdek, and Arie Lassow, and five great-grandchildren. Josephine was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Mildred Marinello, Lucy Cheverino, Jerry Maresca, and Caesar Maresca.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 21, a 12:30 PM at St. Bridget Cemetery, 180 Oakland Street, Manchester. There are no calling hours.
