Josephine "Jay" G. (Ronca) Ferlazo, 93, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Ferlazo, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 22, 1924 in Barre, MA, daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (DiLibero) Ronca. Josephine resided in Manchester for most of her life and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1942. Josephine and her husband Frank were longtime active members of AARP Chapter #604. She enjoyed gathering with her Wacky Widows group. She loved watching the UConn Men's and Women's basketball teams, the Boston Red Sox, watching horse races, and doing arts and crafts. Josephine was a lifelong communicant of St. James Church in Manchester. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Judy Ferlazo of Manchester, two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Girouard of Hudson, NH and Lori and Bob Dusza of Manchester, four loving grandchildren: Peter and Anne Ferlazo, Bobby and Jimmy Dusza, as well as, several nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. A Prayer service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30 am at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
