Josephine Mary Carlson

Josephine M. (Massolini) Carlson, 95, of South Windsor, formerly of Manchester and Bolton, beloved wife of the late Albert B. Carlson and mother of the late Gary W. Carlson passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Josephine was born in Bolton, March 19, 1919 daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Troglio) Massolini. She was raised in Bolton and had resided in Manchester for most of her life, before moving to South Windsor. Prior to retiring, she worked as a Medical Doctors Assistant. She was a parishioner of St. James Church Manchester, a member of Manchester Senior Center and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Carlson is survived by a daughter-in-law, Grace C. Carlson of Manchester, two nephews, Joseph Massolini of Florida, Ronald Senecal, NH. three nieces, MaryAnn Trauttner of Florida, Patricia Massolini of Bolton and Valerie Hazen of Winsted,a sister-in-law, Doris Prentice of Manchester and her family, son, Scott Prentice and daughter Laura Witt. Mrs. Carlson was also predeceased by four brothers, Louis Massolini , Peter Massolini, Angelo Massolini, John Massolini, three sisters, Irma Croteau, Jeanette Massolini and Mary Massolini and a brother-in-law, Edward Prentice. Funeral services will be held Friday March 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
