John F. Rys, Jr

John Frank Rys II, 65, of Willington, CT passed away January 12, 2021. He was born in Hartford, CT on December 24th 1955, son of John Frank Rys Jr. and Marie Barile Rys. John attended Bolton High School before moving on to the University of California Irvine and graduated with a Bachelors in Chemistry, and worked as a Sales Manager selling scientific equipment. John was a strong, loving, dependable, and sometimes stubborn guy. He was intelligent and someone his children admired. He loved classic cars and owned a white 1957 Chevy, he loved rock and roll music, dancing, singing and playing guitar, animals, going on rollercoasters and watching spooky movies. There wasn't anything he couldn't do; he was always the kind of guy who could fix or figure out any problem. He was always the first person to help someone out. John cherished his family above all things. He was a great dad, he loved his children more than humanly possible. John was always there for them, helping, teaching, and giving advice; they could not have asked for more. He accomplished many things in his life but being a dad was the most important accomplishment to him, he devoted himself to being a great father and being there for his whole family through thick and thin. We hope that he is with his brother Eric J. Rys who passed away on January 9th 2010, he will be buried next to his brother Eric in Bolton cemetery. John was predeceased by his father and brother. Along with his mother Marie Barile Rys he is survived by his son, John Frank Rys III, his daughter, Jessica Marie Bissett, sister, Paulette Rys Smith, brothers, Robb J. Rys and Chris J. Rys. He also leaves behind his nephew Jon Paul Smith and great nephew Elias Smith, niece Erica Marie Rys and his beloved furry friends Duke his dog and Chuck his cat.
