John M. Mason

John M. Mason, 83, of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Pauline (Langton) Mason died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1933 in Wallasey, Cheshire England son of the late Stanley and Frances (Stanton) Mason. John came to the United States in 1967 and settled in East Hartford where he has made his home for 50 years. Prior to retiring, John was employed as a Tool & Dye maker. He was a member of the British/American Club for many years. John is survived by his two sisters; Barbara Tyerman and Ruth Moscrip and her husband Bill all in England, several nieces and nephews in England, his two caregivers; his niece Sharon Langton and nephew Kevin Langton both of Manchester, CT and their families. John's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Hartford Hospital in the I.C.U. and the Step-down Unit for their kind and compassionate care. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1:30 pm in St. Mary's Cemetery, Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT. 06108. Holmes Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
