John D. Mchugh

John D. "Johnny" McHugh, 48, of Manchester beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away in Manchester on Friday, January 29, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. John was born on December 17, 1967 in Manchester son of Susan (Smith) Brainard of Manchester and John H. McHugh of Manchester. He was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a member of MHS, Class of 1986. He was a veteran of the US. Army serving his country from 1986-1989. John was formerly employed as a salesman for RV/Car dealerships and cycle shops in the Manchester & Vernon area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking and fishing. John was a member of the Italian Social Club in Rockville. Johnny had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. He had a sense of humor that was like no other and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His family will especially miss his great big bear hugs. In addition to his parents, John is survived by his four children; Ashley King and her husband Gavin and their daughter Aubree of Vernon, John D. McHugh and his girlfriend Crystal of Manchester, Laura McHugh of South Windsor and Scott McHugh of McKinney, TX. John also leaves his two sisters and brothers-in-law; Conni and Michael Yett of Texas and Heidi and James Morse of Vernon, his three nieces; Jessica Wilson, Michelle Stone, and Lillian Morse, his nephew, Beckett Morse and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 5th at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
