John T. Buehler

John T. "Jack" Buehler, 79, of Manchester, beloved husband of 47 years to the late Carole (Bergeron) Buehler died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Jack was born on November 19, 1936 in Frackville, PA son of the late John and Dorothy (Kramer) Buehler. He had been a resident of the Vernon and Manchester areas for over 60 years. Prior to his retirement John was employed as a Burial Vault Installer for Elm-Cap Industries of West Hartford for over 35 years. He was an avid Jimmie Johnson NASCAR fan and he also enjoyed watching UConn Women's basketball, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Football Giants. Jack is survived by his five children; Steven Darling and his wife Jennifer of Manchester with whom he made his home, Laurie Nash and her husband Paul of Ellington, Tami Niederwerfer and her husband Ron of Tolland, John Buehler Jr. and his wife Sharon of South Carolina and James Buehler and his wife Cathy of Manchester, fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Jack also leaves his sister and two brothers; Judith Mahoney of Kensington, Harold Buehler and his wife Linda of Bristol and Thomas Buehler of Kensington and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his wife and parents Jack was predeceased by his sister Nancy Bendas. Calling hours for family and friends will be held at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. Manchester on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
