JoAnne (Stauty) Stevens, 63, lifelong resident of Manchester, loving wife for thirty five years of Roger D. Stevens Sr., died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at an area convalescent home after an extended illness.
JoAnne was born in Manchester on December 21, 1953, daughter of the late Thurston and Ethel (Russell) Stauty. She attended Manchester schools, and had worked at Manchester Manor for twenty four years before retiring.
With her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nichole Spencer and her wife Jodi of East Hartford, and Sandra Burns of New Britain; two grandchildren, Emily Burns and Joseph Burns; two sisters, Beverly Anderson and her husband Walter of East Hartford, and Linda Richards of Manchester; several nieces and nephews, and two step-children, Roger D. Stevens Jr. and Rashona Stevens, both of Salisbury, NC. JoAnne was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Paul Richards.
