Joan C. Pratt

Joan C. (Mackowsky) Pratt, 68, of East Hartford, beloved wife of William G. Pratt Sr., died peacefully, Monday May 11, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. Joan was born August 27, 1946 in Hartford, daughter of the late Charles & Alice (Marczyk) Mackowsky and moved to East Hartford as a young girl. She attended local schools and was a 1964 Graduate of Penney High School. Joan had worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 13 years and later worked for several years at Comprate in Tolland. She loved animals and was generous in her giving to charities for the welfare of animals. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by two sons, William G. Pratt Jr. of New Britain, Steven C. Pratt of East Hartford, her sister Charlotte Tralongo and her husband Joe of Wethersfield and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her brother and his wife, Charles & Joyce Mackowsky.
