Joan Grassette

Joan Grassette, age 86, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on November 20, 2023. Joan was born on May 15, 1937, in Hartford to Frank and Frances Andrews of Vernon, CT. She worked first at Multi Circuit and then retired from Gerber Scientific after many years of employment. She was predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Schwarz Tracy and Marian Crawford. Joan is survived by her daughter, Laurie Robertson, son Andrew Thomas Grassette III, sister Dawn Johnson of Chicago, IL and John Marshall of Waterbury, CT. She also leaves behind her best friend, since the first grade, Fay Risley. She leaves her grandchildren, Natalie Roberson, Scott Robertson and his wife, Mariah, Michelle Hart and husband Tom, Nichole Grassette, and Jason Robertson, as well as great grandchildren, Andrew David Grassette, Jaylen and Alicia Gomes, Logan Risley, Neveah and Michael Allison, Adrianna, Mackenzie and Zackary Hart, and Max and Cooper Robertson. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our thanks to Joans caregivers and friends, Jenny Santos, Joy, Meredith, Georgette, Vicky, Maria, Marissa, Kim OLeary, Angel, and Donna Roas. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00p and 6:00-8:00p, Thursday November 30, 2023, at the Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester CT 06040. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Talcottville, CT, at 12:00p on Friday December 1, 2023.
