Joan C. Blackburn

Joan C. (Discenza) Blackburn, 76, of East Hartford, CT passed away February 9, 2021. She was the wife of the late Joe Blackburn and daughter of the late John and Nellie (Zigment) Discenza. Joan graduated from the Buckley High School and went on to graduate from the Creative School of Hair Dressing. She worked as a registered hairdresser for many years owning her own shop in the Elmwood Section of West Hartford. Joan went on to work for Bank of America as a SME for 19 years in the Operations Division in Farmington, CT. She is predeceased by her husband Joe, a sister Sarah Trudeau and niece Diane Trudeau. Joan leaves her brother John C. Discenza, a nephew Mark Trudeau, nieces Robin Discenza and Katherine Santana. There are no calling hours, and burial will be private.
