Jill D. Kinney

Jill D. (Phelon) Kinney, 52, of Manchester, loving wife of 18 years to Butch Kinney died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital with her family at her side. Jill was born on September 7, 1963 in Hartford, daughter of Gleora Davis of Westbrook and the late Robert A. Phelon. She was employed by Webster Bank for over 10 years having earned the position of Vice President, Senior Learning & Development Specialist. Jill was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching UConn Women's and Men's Basketball and UConn Football. She loved spending time at the beach at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford. Jill and Butch are well known for being gracious hosts for many years of an open house for the Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day. Jill was known for bringing everyone together and turning friends into family. In addition to her husband and mother, Jill is survived by her sons; Geoffrey Flynn and his fianc Jordin Purcell-Riess of Manchester and Matthew Kinney and his girlfriend Maggie English of Colchester, a daughter Rebecca Kinney and her boyfriend Joe Mancini of Bolton, her brother Neal Phelon of Bristol, two sisters; Elizabeth Saunders and Robyn Barbieri both of Glastonbury and her maternal grandmother Beryl Lewis of Cape Cod. Jill also leaves several in-laws, other extended family and many close and wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester.
