Jesse Alexander Rich, 28, died at home on 4/12/2026 in the arms of his mother, a very special friend, and his cousin. Jesse was born in Manchester, CT, on 12/17/1997. He attended Manchester schools and graduated in 2016. Jesse was born into domestic violence, struggled with cruelty from others, and mental illness. He developed a tough exterior to protect the soft loving man he had grown into. Jesse loved Billie Jean, his rescued pitbull, and all animals, the great outdoors and gardening. He had great artistic and mechanical abilities. He had an uncanny depth of knowledge of many subjects and loved to learn.
He was predeceased by his hero and brother, Stephen Belmore, a year ago. This affected his desire to live although he hung on trying to spare his mother the pain of losing two sons. He has returned to the loving arms of his brother. He is survived by his mother Kathleen Rich, his aunt Ellen Kanehl and family, a special cousin and friend Sandy Rich, and a very special friend and hospice nurse Rachel Stanley, whom he loved dearly.
A Calling Hour will be held Sunday, April 19th from 4pm till 5pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street, Manchester CT. A Celebration of Life will be held at Second Congregational Church, 385 North Main Street, Manchester CT 06042 on Monday, April 20th at 11am. Burial will be Private. Donations can be made to Save the Cabin – Case Mountain at Case Mountain Cabin, Inc. as a special Honor to his brother, Stephen.
I wish to thank the friends who held me up so I could be there for Jesse - I love you all. I will love you Jesse, Forever and Always.
