Jeremiah Thomas Healey Jr., 82 of Manchester, CT, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after an extended illness.
Jerry was born on September 19, 1934, in Hartford, CT, son of Jeremiah T. and Irma (Wright) Healey. He was raised in Hartford and has been a resident of Manchester since 2014.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 671 and prior to retiring was a driver for the former Valerie Transportation Company and the former Airborne Express Transportation Company. Jerry was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of the Goodwin Golf Course Men's League in Hartford.
He is survived by his daughter and son, Lisa A. Bolduc and her husband Paul of Manchester, and Jay T. Healey and his wife Dawn of South Windsor, four beloved grandchildren, Lucas and Jake Bolduc and Jayson and Vanessa Healey, his former wife, Phyllis M. Healey, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Healey, and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Norman Cormier.
His family would like to thank the 10th Floor Bliss Nursing Staff and the Palliative & Hospice teams at Hartford Hospital for their care of Jerry.
Visiting hours for family and friends are Saturday, May 13, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM, with a prayer service to follow at 3:00 PM, at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester.
