Jeanne Marie (Laine) Sapia, 75 of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Francis "Frank" Sapia passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Jeanne Marie was born May 12, 1941 in Manchester, daughter of the late Raymond and Cecelia Eva (Apel) Laine and was a lifelong resident. She retired from the Manchester Board of Education after more than 22 years as a Data Manager Assistant. Jeanne absolutely loved spending time at the beach. Whether it be sitting on the beach, sitting in the back yard at Rosie's cottage, or visiting one of the many light houses she adored, she was happy. She also enjoyed her involvement and time at the Manchester Senior Center. Jeanne is survived by her loving family, two sons, Peter Riggsby and his wife, Kimberlee Riggsby of Rutland, MA and Craig A. Riggsby and his wife, Susan B. Riggsby of Morehead, KY, a daughter, Pamela Riggsby of Manchester, five grandchildren, Amy and Adam, Christopher, Kristine and Eddie, three great-grandchildren, Abbigail, Vincent and Brookelynn, a sister, Marilyn Klotzer of Manchester and many beloved nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Francis "Butch" Laine. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you please make a donation to the American Cancer Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. James Church 896 Main Street Manchester, everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 9, from 4-7 p.m. at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester.
