Jeanne Karen McAllister, 77, of Manchester passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Born May 16, 1948, in Willimantic, CT. She was baptized at South Methodist Church in Manchester, Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Marion (Nason) McAllister and the sister of the late Carl McAllister Jr.

Jeanne grew up in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School. She later went on to study Bible Literacy in college. Her love of reading and theology grew throughout her life. In collaboration with her mom, Marion, they spent many years researching centuries of family history in their past time. Jeanne took great pride and honor being able to care for her family and friends throughout her lifetime. She cherish the special bonds and memories that she created with many that were close to her.

She lived a life of quiet grace and compassion, touching hearts with her spirit. A truly gentle soul, Jeanne made the world better through simple acts of kindness and her loving presence. Through the years she took pride in beautifying her gardens. Her peaceful spirit remains a reminder of the power of love and prayer.

She is survived by her best friend and sister-in-law Diana O’Connell & her family; her four-legged companions - dog Reggie and cat Callie along with other extended family from Vermont and special friends. In accordance with Jeanne wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at South Methodist Church in Manchester, Connecticut in September. Exact date and time will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of, donations or flowers for her celebration of life, she requested that a card or flowers be brought to a local nursing home to spread joy to someone else.
