Jeanette M. Orfitelli, 85 of South Windsor formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Harold J. "Babe" Orfitelli passed away Sunday March 6, 2016. Jeanette was born August 6, 1930 in Manchester, daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle (Black) McKeown and resided in Manchester for most of her life before recently moving to South Windsor. She graduated from Manchester High School Class of 1948, was a member of the class reunion planning committee and also was a member and former avid golfer at the Manchester County Club. Jeanette was a member of South United Methodist Church. She volunteered her time at the Manchester Memorial Hospital, the Penny Saver, the polls on election day at Martin School and enjoyed working in sales at Hannoush Jewelers, Manchester. Jeanette is survived by her loving family, four sons, James Orfitelli and his wife, Cindy; David Orfitelli and his wife, Muriel; John Orfitelli; Michael Orfitelli all of Manchester, eight grandchildren, Danielle Rosenberg and her husband, David; Jim Orfitelli and his wife, Kathleen; Jeff Orfitelli and his wife, Jen; Greg Orfitelli, Luke Orfitelli, Marc Orfitelli; Joey Orfitelli; Natalie Orfitelli; three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by five sisters, Violet Geer, Lillian Wilson, Elsie Godlewski, Marion Davis, Anna Lee and three brothers, Albert McKeown, Billy McKeown and Robert McKeown. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:30 am at South United Methodist Church 1226 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery Manchester.
