Jean Paul Daigle passed away July 11, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. He was 92. Paul (as the family called him) was born in Fort Kent, Maine to the late Emile and Leona Daigle. He joined the Air Force and served in Michigan and Newfoundland during the Korean War. He was employed at Raytheon in Massachusetts before coming to Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut where he worked until his retirement. Paul married Eloise Pelletier on September 2, 1957. They were married for 48 years until her death on January 1, 2006.
Paul was quite active in his younger years. He enjoyed snowmobiling in Vermont, golfing, off road motorcycling, square dancing, gardening, fishing in Maine and skiing. He also had a private pilot's license.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eloise, parents Emile and Leona, brothers Herman, Roland, Raoul, sisters infant Marie Teresa,Pauline and Fernande. He is survived by Angela Lindsey, his longtime loving companion, brothers Joseph Evon and Richard (Barbara)sisters Doris Taylor (Bruce) and Ann Wicks (Robert), son Peter Daigle (Renee), daughters Linda Stone and Anna Daigle, grandchildren Gwendolyn Stone and Jason Daigle and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be calling hours at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT on Monday, July 15 from 6:00 - 8:00pm.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Main Street, Manchester, CT. on 896 Main St. on Tuesday, July 16 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery on Broad Street, Manchester, CT.
