Jean L. (Margitich) Mirucki, 81, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Stanley W. Mirucki passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Jean was born on November 29, 1933 in Wallingford daughter of the late Alex and Stasia (Kuryniec) Margitich. She was raised in Wallingford and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, Class of 1951. Jean had resided in Manchester since 1969. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was employed as a Secretary for the Travelers Insurance Company for over 20 years. Jean was a former parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to the casino, working in her garden and having an occasional beer. Jean's true love was her family and spending time with her two great-grandsons. Jean was truly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons; Mark Mirucki of Manchester and Matthew Mirucki and his wife, Catherine of Tolland, her grandson, Christopher Mirucki and his wife, Helen and their sons, Noah and Caleb all of Wellesley, MA. Jean also leaves her two sisters, Evelyn Barton of Wallingford and Karen Papeika and her husband, Richard of Woodbridge, her brother, Alexander Margitich of Las Vegas, NV, her brother-in-law, Charles Mirucki and his wife, Maureen of Fayetteville, NY and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son, Michael Mirucki. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
