Jean (Burke) Harris, 86, of Bolton, beloved wife of John M. Harris, died peacefully, Friday November 6, 2015 with her family at her side. Jean was born August 8, 1929 in Woburn, MA. daughter of the late John & Helen (Ruhan) Burke, she attended local schools, was a 1947 Graduate of Winchester High School in Winchester, MA. and had been a resident of Bolton since 1952. Jean was a communicant of St. Maurice Church in Bolton and had worked as a sales clerk at Sears for many years prior to her retirement. Her family was her passion. She was an amazing wife to her husband and an amazing mom that raised her four children with love, patience and affection. She let her kids be kids, facing each and every challenge that they presented with dignity, grace and a "mother's love". And how she loved those grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were truly her treasures. In her leisure time, she enjoyed wonderful times on Cape Cod, first the cottage in Buzzard's Bay then countless summers camping with her family at Shawme - Crowell State Forest in Sandwich. Fried clams, Sagamore baseball, go-carts, fishing in the canal, Dennisport and The Sundae School, all memories that will last her family a lifetime. Winter vacations to Daytona Beach with her sister Claire and brother-in-law Bucky were among her most favorite experiences. In addition to her husband she is survived by her four children, Jack Harris of Manchester, David Harris and his wife Rebecca also of Manchester, Tom Harris of Hebron and Nancy (Harris) Lotas and her husband Eric of Vernon, eight grandchildren, David Harris, Patrick Harris, Sean Harris and his wife Seychell, Gregory Harris and his fianc Amanda, Brendon Harris, Ryan Harris, Katie Lotas, Sara Dion and her husband Kevin and two great grandchildren, Landon Whitaker and Austynn-Lily Dion. Other survivors include her brother-in-law Robert Roberto of Burlington, MA., her husband's brother Charles Harris and his wife Mabs of Winchester, MA and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 10, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday November 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Rd., Bolton. Burial will follow in Bolton Center Cemetery.
