Janice 'Jan' Meyers Rosengrant

Janice (Jan) Meyers Rosengrant: February 6, 1933 - May 22, 2022
Raised in Manchester, CT, Janice graduated Manchester Highs Class of 1951. She was a member of the Art Club and the National Honor Society. She was employed at Communication Cable, Inc. in Manchester for many years, later at Gerber Scientific, and then at Macys. She was a 55-year member and Past Matron of Temple Chapter No. 53, Order of the Eastern Star where she was both Treasurer and Secretary Emeritus. She was Mother Advisor of Manchester Assembly No. 15, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She loved quilting and all types of needlework. She was very creative and generous with her talents. Janice also enjoyed duck-pin bowling, bingo, and playing cards. What gave her great joy was being with her friends, her special family from Eastern Star, and her Christmas family from Communication Cable. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur N. Rosengrant, and her brother Richard Meyers. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, from 6 - 7:30 pm with an Eastern Star Funeral Service at 6:30 at the Masonic Temple, 1559 Main Street, South Windsor, CT. Holmes Watkins Funeral Home of Manchester assisted with the arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to The Eastern Star Charity Foundation Sunshine Fund, PO Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492. Burial will be private at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Waterbury.
