James H. Kilduff

James H. Kilduff, 74, of Andover and formerly of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Janice M. (Valentine)Kilduff, died unexpectedly, Wednesday June 11, 2014 at his home. He was born October 18, 1939 in Providence, RI., son of the late Edward & Mary Louise (Catanche) Kilduff. He was a 1958 Graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Providence, he earned a Certificate as an Aeronautical Master Technician from the East Coast AeroTechnical School in Lexington, MA. in 1960 and received his Associates Degree from Manchester Community College in 1975. Jim was an avid NASCAR fan, he loved to shoot pool and had been active in many local leagues, he was a gun enthusiast and member of the National Rifle Assoc. and an NRA Champion. Prior to his retirement he was a Test Engineer with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and had also done consultant work with Boeing and Lancia.
He is survived by his son James E. Kilduff and his wife Kathleen of Saratoga Springs, NY., two daughters, Marybeth Aker and her husband Christopher of Amston, Joann Hoar of Manchester, six grandchildren, Gregg, KarraMarie, Mariah, Christopher, Connor and Olivia. Other survivors include his longtime friend and companion, Judy Wallace of East Hartford, two brothers and three sisters, William Killduff, Edward Kilduff, Louise Kilduff and Mary O'Neil all of California, Margaret Kilduff of New York and forty four nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his sister Joan Harmon and his brother John Kilduff.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 16, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will be private in St. Ann's Cemetery in Cranston, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA. 02241-7005.
