James E. Duffy, 60, of Hartford and formerly of Enfield and Manchester, died unexpectedly Friday March 27, 2015 at his home. He was born December 14, 1954 in Hartford, son of the late Donald J. & Patricia (Pitkin) Duffy. He was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a Graduate of Manchester High School. Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Army Reserves as well. He has been self employed for most of his life and was most recently working in currier services for many area firms. He has been a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride his Harley. He is survived by two sisters, Susan D. Cherenza of Westerly, RI., Lisa A. Clark and her husband Richard of Manchester, a nephew Justin M. Cherenza of Somerville, MA. Other survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous close friends. He was predeceased by his sister Dona M. Duffy. Funeral service will be held at graveside Tuesday April 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget Cemetery, 180 Oakland St., Manchester.
