Jacqueline Bennett Mirtl, 89, of Manchester, CT, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Douglas Manor in Windham. Born February 8, 1937, in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Bertram and Irene (Knie) Bennett and was a proud graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1955 and later worked for 25 years at Fuss & O'Neill Consulting Engineers. A lifelong resident of Manchester, Jackie was a big fan of UConn basketball, Little Theater of Manchester and events at the Jorgensen auditorium. She is survived by her son James Nichols and his wife Amanda Clark, her niece, Nancy von Hollen, and numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Connecticut Humane Society https://cthumane.org/
