Isabell (Wallace) Lawler, 82, an over fifty year resident of East Hartford, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Thomas H. Lawler, died peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2017 with her daughter at her side. She was born on May 25, 1935 in Greenock, Scotland, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (McKenna) Wallace. Isabell was raised in Scotland and moved to the United States in the early 1960's. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years at Industrial Risk Insurers, Hartford, CT, as Head Cashier, Accounts Payable Department. Isabell was a Past Chief Daughter and member for over fifty years of Ellen Douglas Lodge #8 of the Daughters of Scotia. She loved to travel with her husband, especially to Las Vegas, several times a year. An expert seamstress, she also loved to knit and crochet. Isabell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law June and Ronald Dubay of Manchester, her grandson Ian Raymond of Manchester, a sister Marie Klebart and her husband Richard of South Windsor, several nieces, nephews and their families and her loving caregiver Rosemary Mensah of East Hartford. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; James and John Wallace. At Isabell's request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
