Henrietta E. Boys

Henrietta "Hank" E. Boys of Manchester, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Crestfield Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 31, 1923, Hank resided in Manchester for the last 56 years. Prior to her retirement, she was the Assistant Town Clerk in Manchester. Hank was predeceased by her loving husband Robert of 60 years and son Bruce. She and her husband enjoyed many summers at Odetah Campground, traveling the globe, and taking bus trips with the senior center. Hank loved Saturday night bingo at the Army and Navy Club with her daughter, playing cards and games with her family and friends, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. Known as the hat lady, Hank wore beautiful hats to match her every outfit. Henrietta leaves her devoted and heartbroken daughter Sandra Terragna of Manchester, who cared for her for the last 10 years, her grandson Jason Bellone of Redding, CT, whom she was extremely proud of, his wife Wendy, and their four amazing children, Bailey, Colby, Allie, and Chloe. Henrietta also leaves her beloved granddaughter and travel companion Kara Colon and her partner Miguel of East Hartford, and her grandpuppy Amigo. She also has grandsons Benjamin, Jacob, and Jesse. Hank is survived by her sister Leona in Florida and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Crestfield for their wonderful care. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Bartholomew Church, 736 E. Middle Turnpike in Manchester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Army and Navy Club on Main St. in Manchester. "A Grandmother is a little bit mother, a little bit teacher, a junk food sneaker, and always a best friend." A large part of our hearts have a hole that can never be filled.
