Helen Marjorie Donnelly

H. Marjorie (Smyth) Donnelly, formerly of Manchester, beloved mother of daughter's Bethany (Donnelly) Ringo and her husband Michael and Sarah Gorton and her husband Rob, passed away peacefully on June 4th at the age of 90. Marjorie was born in Manchester, daughter of the late William T. and Helen (Morin) Smyth and had resided in Manchester for most of her life before moving to Coventry in 2006. She attended school locally and in Boston and was a proud Alumna of the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1948. The majority of her nursing career was spent at the institute of Living in Hartford, teaching psychiatric nursing until she retired in 1995. Marjorie enjoyed bingo and vacationing at Cape Cod and was an avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her loving son Christopher Smyth Donnelly and her former husband Robert T. Donnelly. There are no calling hours and a private graveside services will be conducted.
