Harriet Brinckerhoff Haslett, 86 years young, passed peacefully Friday September 2nd, 2022 after falling ill while vacationing in Utah. She is predeceased by her mother Esther Barkalow Brinckerhoff, father Hampton Todd Brinckerhoff, brothers Cpl Derick Brinckerhoff and H. Todd Brinckerhoff and sister-in-law Beverly Brinckerhoff.
She was proud to be from the Hudson Valley area of New York and her family's strong historical ties in Fishkill, particularly during the Revolutionary War. The family name lives on with a Hudson Valley hamlet named Brinckerhoff as well as the Brinckerhoff Elementary School.
Manchester CT became her second home, living there for 50 years before moving to Ellington CT. She was active politically and with the PTA in the 70's & 80's, the Manchester Hospital Auxiliary for approx. 30 years and then golf @ MCC the last two decades. She was loved and respected by all.
After retiring over 20 years ago from CCCS-CT her greatest joys were her grandkids - Lauren B. Glick, Joshua T. Haslett, Jeremy C. Glick & Jacob D. Haslett, traveling (Africa twice, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and all over the US), golf, mahjong and time with her many dear friends.
Surviving family include son John S. Haslett, daughter Katherine B. Glick, son James E. Haslett, aforementioned grandchildren, son-in-law Matt Glick, daughter-in-laws Shelley Haslett and Patti Haslett, and her nieces Mary Brinckerhoff, Barbara Teed and Margaret Brinckerhoff and their families.
