Manchester, CT

Harold J. Clough Sr., a life-long member of the Manchester community, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 1, 1939, in Manchester, Connecticut, Harold lived a full life characterized by dedication to his family, his country, and his work.

Harold grew up in the loving home of his late parents, Harold T. Clough and Myrtle (Fontine) Clough. After completing his education, he maintained a rewarding career as an Inspector/Assembler for Carlyle Johnson Machine Company.

A proud veteran, Harold served his nation with honor as a member of the US Army National Guard. His patriotism and sense of duty were integral parts of his character, values that he carried with him throughout his life and instilled in those around him.

Harold's commitment to his faith was evident to all who knew him. A lifelong member of the Center Congregational Church, it was within its walls that he wed the love of his life, the late Joyce M. Clough. Their union was blessed with four children: the late Harold Clough Jr., John Clough and Rebecca (Michael) Fiske. He is also predeceased by his brother, George Clough. While his heart was heavy with the loss of his wife, his son Harold Jr., and his granddaughter Victoria, Harold found great joy and solace in the lives of his surviving family members, including his grandchildren Angela, Morgan, Mackenzie, Michael, Alexis, and great-grandchildren, Adriana, Analise, Malaki, Copper, Colsen, Mikey, Madison, Isabelle, Ciara, Jade, Kingston and Ayonna.

As we bid farewell to Harold, we remember a life lived with purpose and kindness. His legacy is one of love, service, and an unwavering commitment to the values he held dear. Harold's memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the strength of character and the importance of community.

Harold J. Clough Sr.'s life was a journey of dedication and love—a journey that has come to a peaceful end in the same town where it began. He leaves behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Rest in peace, Harold; your memory will forever be cherished.
