Guy F. Dubay, 93, of East Hartford beloved husband of the late Lee (Clark) Dubay died peacefully at home on December 24, 2017 with his family at his side. He was born on December 4, 1924 in Van Buren, Maine the 10th of 19 children of the late Leon and Annie (Violette) Dubay. Guy was a proud veteran of WWII serving his country in the US Army 71st Infantry Division. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed for over 36 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Guy was a longtime parishioner of the former Blessed Sacrament Church in East Hartford. Guy was an avid reader, charming conversationalist, and gifted storyteller. He loved to watch every UCONN Women's basketball game and was happiest when visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his four sons; Dennis Dubay of Rocky Hill, Brian Dubay and his wife Sharon of Brewster, MA, Randy Dubay of East Hartford and Ronald Dubay and his wife June of Manchester, three granddaughters; Breanne Guzman and her husband Michael and their son Jayden, Gabrielle Dubay and Alan Williams and their daughter Lilly, and Delanie Manner, and his grandson Ian Raymond. Guy also leaves his brother Robert Dubay of Maine, three sisters; Therese Smiarowski , Juliette Laraia and Jeanne Mitera, all of Connecticut, numerous, nieces, nephews, their families, his loving caregiver Barbara Johnson, and many good friends. In addition to his wife and parents Guy was predeceased by 14 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Christopher Campus, of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer St. East Hartford, CT 06118. Everyone is kindly asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours.
