Gregory M. Fairbanks Sr

Gregory M. Fairbanks Sr., 52 of Manchester, beloved son of Alice (Bilodeau) Fairbanks of Manchester and the late Richard E. Fairbanks and Greg's fiance Lori Kowalski, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Gregory was born in Hartford, June 2, 1963 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Greg was an avid follower of Native American Culture. He was also a talented artist and drew many greeting cards for his family members who he loved very much. Greg also had several pieces of his artwork published. He was a gifted tattoo artist as well. Greg will be sadly missed by all. In addition to his loving mother and fiance, Gregory is survived by a son, Gregory M. Fairbanks Jr., a grandson, Alexander Fairbanks, five sisters, Barbara LaChance, Mary Ellen McCollum, Carolyn McNeely, Susan Paquette, Linda Fairbanks, four stepbrothers, Richard Fairbanks, Jeffrey Fairbanks, Daniel Fairbanks, Harold B. McNeely Jr. and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth A. Fairbanks and a brother-in-law, William McCollum. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester. Services and burial will be private.
