Glenn Robert Doppes

Glenn Robert Doppes (67) of Andover passed away in Hartford Hospital on June 12th, 2022. Glenn was born in Cincinnati Ohio on February 7th 1955 to Agnes and Robert Doppes. He attended Elder High School in Cincinnati and graduated as part of the class of 1972 and then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana. Glenn married Barbara Wiacek, and together they had 2 children, Jason and James. He worked at Pratt & Whitney as an engineer on various engine programs including the F119 which powers the F-22 fighter. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for over 40 years starting as an engineer on various engine programs including the F119, which powers the F-22 Fighter. He then became promoted to an Engineering Export Compliance Manager. He enjoyed socializing with his friends over sports and beer, playing and coaching pool with his team, and playing golf when he could fit it in. Glenn is survived by his brother Michael and was predeceased by his brother Gregg, mother Agnes and father Robert. Memorial services will be held at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home on 400 Main Street in Manchester on June 25th, 11am to 12pm.
