* SERVICE UPDATE A Graveside Service will be held, Saturday, April 30, 2022, 10:00am at Ellington Center Cemetery, 95 Maple Street, Ellington. Glenn Shirley Birmingham, passed away on November 7, 2021, quietly and peacefully from complications of heart and organ failure, with his family by his side. Born July 26, 1960, in Lincoln, Maine, son to the late Jacqueline (St. Peter) Birmingham and Ralph Shirley Birmingham of Manchester. Glenn was a good man, with all that he was. His passion was cooking and becoming a chef, executive chef and creating his masterpieces with institutional cooking facilities and restaurants. Pratt & Whitney, Willies Steak House, Shaws Seafood Restaurant in Cullman, Alabama, worked for Genesis and the State of Connecticut, Manchester Memorial Hospital and nursing homes in Glastonbury, Vernon and Manchester. He loved fishing, the band KISS and the NY Giants football team. He loved his family and friends whole heartedly. Glenn loved spending his time in Lincoln, ME at his grandparents camp at Little Narrows. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Diane (Dube) Birmingham and her loving memories of Glenn and the times they spent together. He also leaves his sister Jerri and her husband Greg DeBacco and family of Tolland, CT, Aunt Barbara and Mike Gillot of Palm Coast, FL, Aunt Ann and Cliff Hilchey, of Coventry, Niece Sabrina and Steve Salerno and family of Tolland, CT, Nephew William (Billy) DeBacco and Shannon DeBacco of South Windsor. His Great niece and nephew Taya and Lawson Salerno. Glenn also leaves many in-laws, he was an Uncle and Great Uncle and a great friend to many, who will miss him dearly.
