Gerard Rusyn, age 68, of Manchester, CT peacefully passed away on June 29, 2018. He was the beloved son of Louis and Muriel Rusyn. Gerard was born in New York on May 11, 1950 and moved to Connecticut in 1990. Gerard had many hobbies, he loved country music, he enjoyed WWE, Harley Davidson motorcycles, classic cars, going bowling and he enjoyed exciting trips to Nashville with his friends. He lived a very happy life under the care of March Inc. of Manchester, CT. He made very close friends with the staff and they became like family to him. They took excellent care of him and he spent fun, quality time with them every day: Janet Leitao, Betty Hackla, Clarence Bowen, Doreen McIntyre, Steve Jasper, and Margaret Roberts, his friends at Baker Road as well as his very dear friends Bob Ellis and Juan Bustamante who will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his sister Gail Moore and her husband Bill Moore of Vernon, CT, niece Christine Chernik and her husband Steven of South Windsor, CT, nephews Gregory Moore and wife Nicole of Wellesley, MA, and Brian Moore and wife Aimee of Willington, CT, along with many great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind cousins Allan, Barbara and Wayne Clark, cousins Kathleen and Joseph DeBono of Long Island, NY, and cousins Linda and Michael Loher of Brooklyn, NY, along with many other cousins. Friends will be received at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm for a celebration of his life.
