Geraldine M. Webster

Geraldine M. (Sawyer) Webster, 78, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Ronald V. Webster Sr. passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Geraldine was born on March 9, 1937 in Willimantic, daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Kogut) Sawyer. She was raised in Willimantic and moved to Manchester following her marriage to raise her family. Prior to retiring she was employed at Manchester Memorial Hospital as Supervisor of Housekeeping after 20 years of service. Her interests included her love for Vermont where she resided for 18 years. She also enjoyed traveling to the casinos and loved to spend time at home canning. Geraldine is survived by four daughters, Karen Saunders and husband, Russ of Vernon, Sharon Alexander and husband, David of Broad Brook, Sally Crawford and husband, Jim of Manchester, Lisa Bassett and husband, Randy of Stafford, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother, Stanley Sawyer Jr. of Connecticut, two sisters, Barbara McClure of Connecticut, Elizabeth Hart of Maine and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by two sons, Ronald V. Webster Jr. and Lawrence Paradis, two daughters, Susan Webster and Mary Webster and her twin sister, Genevieve Gravlejs. A memorial service will be Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11 am at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester, followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
