Geraldine (Charbonneau) "Buttons" Ambrose, 72 of Coventry, loving wife and best friend for fifty-three years of Peter C. Ambrose Jr., died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at her home after an extended illness.
Gerry was born in Putnam on August 2, 1943, daughter of Stella A. (Natorski) Charbonneau of East Hartford and the late Joseph A. Charbonneau. She was raised in East Hartford and graduated from East Hartford High School Class of 1961. Prior to retiring she had been employed by the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company and UTRC for thirty-five years. She loved music, reading, her cats as well as stray cats, and helping Pete as his "assistant" with numerous automotive projects.
Beside her husband and mother, Gerry is survived by two sisters, Joan (Charbonneau) Martin of Bloomfield, Barbara (Charbonneau) Pearl of East Hartford, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will be private in St. James Cemetery in Manchester.
