Gary Townsend Van Ausdall

Gary Townsend Van Ausdall, 72, a 68 year resident of Manchester, died peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Gary was born on February 2, 1944 in Hartford, son of the late Charles and Lila (Graham) Van Ausdall. He was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1962. Gary was employed for over 45 years with Hartford Steam Boiler. He is survived by his brother Rev. Charles G. Van Ausdall of Great Barrington, MA and his two nephews; Jonathan Van Ausdall and Jason Van Ausdall. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester from 12- 1pm with a service to begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Great Barrington, PO Box 660, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
