Gary Boulay

Gary G. Boulay, 74, of Tolland, died Friday May 27, 2022, at his home. He was born August 10, 1947 in Hartford to the late, Neil and Mary (Dinorsce) Boulay. He attended East Catholic High School and earned his degree from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. He had lived for the past 22 years in Tolland with his wife of 56 years, Kathleen Dunn Boulay.
Gary was President and CEO of Genesis Capital Group for many years. He founded Genesis and subsidiary Millennium Computer and spent many years as a successful businessman in the community. He was an avid golfer, a huge Red Sox and UConn basketball fan, loved playing cards and enjoyed weekly Friday night dinners and many memorable vacations with his wife, friends and family. He also maintained lifelong friendships with friends from high school which is a testament to how he approached his priorities in life family and friends always came first. Gary had an infectious sense of humor and always loved a good joke - especially if he could stick it in his repertoire for future use. He had a profound love for his family and complete affection for his canine children, Gracie and Charlotte. He could always be counted on for a good conversation, sage piece of advice, or a listening ear and understood the comfort and simplicity of a warm embrace during lifes more challenging times. His generosity was unmatched, and his hugs and unconditional love will be immeasurably missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children, Geoffrey Boulay and his wife Kimberly, Jonathan Boulay and his wife Kerri, Sara Romanino and her husband Philip, Jennifer Acosta and her husband Eli, Timothy Boulay and his wife Laurie; and his grandchildren Jacqueline and her partner Christian, Matthew and his fianc Tayler, Caleb, Annelise, Michaela, Sophie, Max, Griffin, Chloe, Alexander, Olivia and Abigail; and his great grandchild Nathan.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester, CT from 4:30-7:30PM on Wednesday June 1, 2022. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:45AM on Thursday June 2, 2002 at St. Bartholomew Church, 736 Middle Tpke, Manchester, CT. Inurnment will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery in Manchester, CT.
