Frank J. Bramanti, 68, of Ellington, formerly of East Hartford & Vernon, loving husband of 26 years of Loretta (Tomko) Bramanti died peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, March 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Frank was born on September 2, 1948 in Hartford, son of the late Joseph and Lillian Bramanti. He was a dedicated Electrician working for several companies in the area. Frank was a past President, Vice President and Trustee on numerous funds for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. (I.B.E.W. Local #35) in Hartford. Frank was an avid golfer and loved swimming. He was a great New York Giants & New York Yankees fan. He loved fishing especially with his cousin Joe Cantone. In addition to his wife Loretta, Frank is survived by six children and nine grandchildren; Lucy (Bramanti) Taylor and her husband Jeffrey of Coventry, Leanne (Bramanti) Tria and her husband David and their children; Lily and Nicholas of Westerly, RI, Candace Brainard and her husband Manny and their children; Stephanie, Eric and Madison of Andover, Wayne Lindstrom and Lisa Mulvey and Wayne's son Logan of Vernon, Pamela LaBrec and her husband Sean and her children; Miranda and Kendra of Manchester, and Nicole Berthiaume and her daughter Shayna of Farmington and one great grandson Justin. Frank also leaves his sister Celeste Bramanti, his two brothers; Joseph and James Bramanti, several nieces, nephews and their families and many wonderful friends. In addition to his parents Frank was predeceased by his beloved paternal grandmother Lucia C. Bramanti who raised him as a child along with Angelina Forcucci of Glastonbury. Frank especially loved all his family and friends with all his heart. He is deeply loved and will be missed. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 10 am-1 pm with a service at 1 pm at the funeral home.
