Francis L. "Frank" Pastula, 93, of South Windsor and Crystal River, FL., beloved husband of Rose (Shirshac) Pastula, died Saturday December 19, 2015. Frank was born February 24, 1922 in Suffield, son of the late Joseph & Sophia (Zyla) Pastula, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Sigourney during W W II and a member of the American Legion Post # 154 in Enfield. Prior to his retirement he was a Finish Carpenter and had worked for the Davis Bradford Co. of East Hartford for over 38 years. Frank was an avid Red Sox fan as well as the UConn Huskey Ladies Basketball team. In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother, Raymond Pastula of South Windsor, two sisters, Frances Koystk of South Windsor, Annie Borawski of Somers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Burns and six brothers, Stanley Pastula, Joseph Pastula, Anthony Pastula, Thomas Pastula, Michael Pastula and John Pastula. Funeral services will be held at graveside at 12:00 PM on Wednesday December 30, 2015 in section 24 of the Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT. 06106 or to the Arthritis Foundation of Atlanta Georgia, 1330 West Peachtree St., NW, Atlanta, GA. 30309.
