Francine 'Sonni' Donovan

Francine Donovan of Hebron, CT entered eternal rest on March 9, 2018. She was born in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, and attended Oklahoma A & M University. She was a proud six-year veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving between 1943-1949.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Eugene Thomas Donovan, in 2006. Francine leaves behind a daughter and a son, and their spouses: Karen and Mark Matheny, and Thomas and Betty Lou Donovan, all of Hebron, CT. She also leaves four precious grandchildren: Alaina Matheny Stewart and her husband Gregory Stewart, Brenna Matheny, and Dillion and Conor Donovan.

There will be no calling hours and a Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040. Burial will be private and at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org or a charity of your choice.
