Frances P. Lombardo

Frances P. Lombardo, 98, of Manchester, passed peacefully on November 14, 2024. Fran was born in Malden, MA to the late Vito and Concetta Perrone (Grieco). Fran lived in Hartford, CT where she met her husband, Joseph Lombardo. They settled in Manchester, CT where Fran would go on to earn her Master's degree in Education, and devote her life to the Manchester Public School system, specifically Bennett Junior High School, teaching 7th grade English. Fran and Joseph were long standing parishioners of St. Bridget Church. After retirement, Fran settled in Deerfield Beach, FL where she enjoyed golf, tennis, and dancing.
Fran is predeceased by her husband, Joseph; her brothers Vincent, Tony, and Vito and her sister Christine. She is survived by her son Richard Lombardo and his fiancé Anna of Boxford, MA; daughter Mary-Ellen Lombardo of St Petersburg, FL; sister-in-laws Belle Perrone of Springfield, MA and Roberta Perrone of Vernon, CT; grandchildren Joshua Lombardo of Norfolk, VA, Jeremiah Ostuni of Ft Walton Beach, FL, Pamela Joiner (Richard) of Knoxville, TN, Stephen Ostuni (Nicole) of Oakridge, TN; many loving nieces and nephews; as well as 2 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester, CT. A Christian Mass will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St, Manchester at 10AM. Burial will be immediately after at St. James Cemetery, 368 Broad St, Manchester.
