Florence I. Arthofer

Florence I. (Johnson) Arthofer, 92 of Manchester, widow of Rudolph F. Arthofer Jr., died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at an area convalescent home.
Florence was born in Randolf, MA on July 24, 1923, daughter of Carl Iver Johnson and Alida (Tangen) Johnson. She came to the Hartford area as a young child and had been a resident of Manchester since 1956. She retired from the claims department at The Hartford Insurance Company after twenty six years of service, and had previously worked for the former G. Fox department store in Hartford. She was a member of the Manchester and Enfield Senior Citizens Centers.
She is survived by her loving son, Rudolph F. Arthofer III of Enfield; two grandchildren, Rudolph F. Arthofer IV and his wife Shelly of Menlo Park, CA, and Jennifer Noe of Farmington, and two great-grandchildren.
