Evelyn A. Walters

Evelyn A. (Reilly) Walters, 91, of Mansfield formerly of Manchester, wife of the late Edward Walters died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Windham Community Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1923 in Hartford and had resided for most of her life in Manchester. Prior to her retirement in 1984, Evelyn was employed for many years as a seamstress for Sherman & Bertramn. She was a longtime active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester. Evelyn enjoyed people and went out of her way to care for and spend time with them. She is survived by her sister, Sheila Urbanetti of Maine, a step-daughter, Karen Kissman and her husband, Wayne of Manchester, a niece and nephew, her dear friends, Deborah and David Torstenson of Coventry and her "adopted grandchildren", John David Torstenson and Kari Leigh Torstenson. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 12-1pm with a service to begin at 1pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
