Evelyn A. Hampson

Evelyn A. Hampson, of Bolton, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on September 25, 1940, to Carl and Helen (Burnett) Herrick. On May 26, 1962, Evelyn married Victor Hampson, and together they built their home in Bolton, where they raised their family.
She retired from MAP FoodService in 2018. Evelyn had a passion for cooking and was known for her culinary skills. She loved shopping, especially for clothes and shoes, and was always up for a trip to the winery.
Above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends. Her greatest joy was being at her lake cottage in Holland, MA, where she shared special moments with her beloved lake "family."
Evelyn is survived by her son Robert "Bobby" Hampson; her daughter Cindy Chmielowiec and her husband Victor; granddaughters Julia and Lydia; her brother Carl Herrick; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also had a special place in her heart for her grand-fur kitties, Clarence and Ridge. Evelyn was deeply loved by her family and was well cared for by Bobby after Victor's passing.
She was predeceased by her husband Victor Hampson and her sisters Jean Marco and Marion Booth. Memorial donations in Evelyn's honor may be made to the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Calling Hours will be held at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home located at 400 Main Street, Manchester CT on Thursday, March 6th from 5pm till 7pm.
