Eugene Landry

Eugene "Gene" Landry, 56, of Manchester, beloved husband of 30 years of Melody (Peltier) Landry passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at home. Gene was born on November 22, 1960 in Rumford, ME son of the late Paul and Cecil Landry. At the age of nine he moved to Manchester to live with his Godparents Joseph and Candide Landry who raised him like their son. He attended Manchester schools and was a graduate of the machinist program at Howell Cheney Technical High School, Class of 1980. Gene was a CNC Machinist for over 38 years but his passion was fixing things. There was never a project or machine he could not fix and he never hesitated to help his friends and family. In addition to his wife Melody, he is survived by his three children; Joshua Landry, Michele Landry and Cassandra Landry, his seven siblings; John Vontell and his wife Karen, Albert Landry and his partner Carol Cortes, Louise Bonjour, Lena Theriault, Debra Landry and her partner Alan Sirianni, Teresa Nutter and her husband Roger, and Joanne Miller and her husband Bruce, his father Joseph Landry and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
