Esther M. Longmore

Esther M. (Pickett) Longmore, 88, of Manchester, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 after an extended illness. She was born on May 12, 1927 in Richmondville, NY daughter of the late Frank and LaBerta (Ostrander) Pickett. Prior to her retirement in 1993 Esther had been employed by the Iona Company and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years. She is survived by her six children; Cecil Kennedy and his partner Nina Foranzo of Fishkill, NY, Joanne Keeney and her husband Bob of Manchester, Darlene Lee and her husband Fred of Edinburg, NY, Deborah Wilson and her husband Michael of Henderson, NV, Robin Roberts and her husband Allan of East Hartford and Patricia Richards of Manchester with whom she made her home. Esther also leaves her 13 loving grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Audrey August of Rexford, NY and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Esther was predeceased by two daughters, Regina Longmore and Janice Dube, a grandson, Cecil Kennedy Jr. her two brothers, Donald and Delbert Pickett and her former husband, Robert Longmore. Calling hours will be held at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 2-4 pm with a service at 4 pm at the funeral home.
