Estelle M. "Ginger" (Davis) Nelson, 93, of South Windsor and formerly of Coventry, beloved wife of the late Paul J. Nelson, died peacefully, Friday June 20, 2014 at the Fox Hill Center in Vernon. She was born October 22, 1920 in Hartford, daughter of the late Earl G. & Lila (Chickering) Davis. She loved the time she spent with her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed for her infectious laugh and the twinkle in her eyes. She is survived by two sons, Robert Nelson of Ellington, Barry Nelson and his companion Nancy Schweitzer of Coventry, two daughters and their husbands, Linda & Robert White of South Windsor and Janice & Timothy Palmquist of Ansonia. Other survivors include her brother-in-law Edward K. Nelson of South Windsor, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her niece and nephew. Estelle was predeceased by her brother John W. Davis and sister Marjorie Beebe and daughter-in-laws, Janet (Brink) Nelson and Laurie (Brink) Nelson. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Fox Hill for the wonderful care provided during her time there. Funeral services were private with burial in the Nathan Hale Cemetery in Coventry. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O.
