Ernest Louis Affricano, Jr., 87, of Vernon passed away on Tuesday Nov 21, 2023. He was born May 23, 1936 in Rockville CT to the late Ernest and Wonda (Litvinchyk) Affricano. Ernie graduated from Howell Cheney Tech/Manchester High School in 1954. He proudly served in the U.S Airforce. Ernie retired after 28 years from the Coventry Post Office and worked at Sun Valley Campground for many years after that. Ernie loved hunting, fishing and living in Montana. He was a member of the Manchester Coon and Fox Club, Rockville Fish and Game, the Moose Club, the Italian American Club and was a member of the Coventry Grange for over 60 years. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Danny Ridzon, his daughter Crystal Affricano, his son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Tonya Affricano; his grandchildren, Mason and Samantha Affricano; and his nieces, Danielle Ridzon and Deb Reichert. Family and friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9 am 10:45 am for calling hours, immediately followed by a funeral service at the Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Graveside Services and Military Honors will follow at St. James Cemetery at 368 Broad Street, Manchester.
