Emma B. Hicking

Emma B. (Strickland) Hicking, 94, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Hicking, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Vernon Manor. She was born on February 13, 1924 in Columbia one of seven children of the late Leonard and Selma (Anderson) Strickland. Emma is survived by her daughter Beverly Hicking of Vernon, four sons; Richard and wife Jill of White Bear Lake, MN, Robert and wife Barbara of Murphy, NC, Ronald of Vernon and Rodney and wife Debbie of Holiday, FL, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her six siblings; Louise Ball, Lee St. Arnauld, Bertha Strickland, Raymond, Arthur and Harold Strickland. A private burial will be held in Columbia Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
